Looks Like Me=)O.K. O.K You read skimming and think - What in Idaho, where the largest wave you could ever catch is the wake from a boat docking or taking off a little fast. Well.... we take what we can get. We ride them o.k., we usually float them=)
What is Skimming? Not that.....That's how I look trying. This is a pool like/slip-N-slide runner. The edges are full of water that holds maybe 1-1 1/2 inches of water in them. The board rest on the edge for my little guys then they start back at the fence and run with all there might to get up speed. They jump and with that leap of faith, hit the board as square as they can and ride as far and as long as they can usually ending in a quick sharp fall to the tush. They make it 1/2 way down the runner if they are lucky. But you are suppose to be 10 or better and my little guys are 3,5 and 7. They do pretty well with that in mind.
The boys have had hours of fun playing on it. This has been well worth its price this year. (except for the ugly spot it it leaves behind) The kids and neighbor kids have had so much fun with this. The pool is an after thought most of the time.(Its quite a bit colder and takes all day to warm up) This heats up quickly because it is so shallow.
Oh for any adult that read this and think cool that looks like fun. Believe me it can be fun as a slip-n-slide but for us to try to skim, that's not such a good ideal. I tried and am still feel'n the PAIN from that choice 2 days ago. Besides you don't want to look like that.
We have been to the library for craft time and story time. We have also been to the water park. It is funny to see the change in character the boys portray. They love to set and watch the other kids play, unless I bring the neighbor boy then they run the show. There is no stoppin them.
The lakes are all still too high and they are fare too cold. It's crazy here we are in the middle of June and still haven't been to the lake to swim.
Oh well the back yard will do for now!

The boys are looking at these skimming pics and asking when the can go skimming?? Looks like fun...except for your fall!
o.k o.k thats not actually my fall. It's the neighbor boy! Tells the boys thanks for the vote of confidence.=) Good luck it is a lot of fun. I've seen them at walmart and Target but those are the only places I've been.
