Clayton's BIG day!!

Today was a huge day in Clayton's life. Today Clayton got Baptized. All the family that could make it and some of our close family friends came to share in this special occasion with him. Clayton listened to Uncle Roberts talk on Baptism he did a great job. Then it was time Clayton told his dad that he was very afraid. Aaron told him he would be o.k.. Clayton said he felt the Holy Ghost so Strong as he walked down the stairs into the font. The fear and anxiety went away, he knew he would be alright. He also knew that he was following the example of Jesus by being baptised. Grandpa Wallace then gave a talk on the Holy Ghost. It helped him better understand that now the Holy Ghost is always with him. Like Jimny Cricket as long as you listen the him he will guide you. Clayton is such a precious Child of God. I am very thankful to have the opportunity to be his mother.

Thanskgiving!

Our Thanksgiving day started a little crazy. We had a paper route to do that morning early. We had 600ish papers to get wrapped so we called in the forces. My visiting teachers are the best ever they are great friends also. Kelly heard we were doing the route and said her and her daughters would help us fold and stuff papers. Mind you we didn't get them till 11:30 wed. night. Kelly and the girls, Karla my mother in law, Jacob my little brother, Aaron and I and Clayton (who really wanted to help, but fell asleep on the couch waiting),rolled and stuffed until our fingers were going to fall off. It took 1 hour. Then Aaron, Jacob and I set off to deliver them. We filled the hole bed of the truck 2 times there were so many papers. It was 27 degrees and we hopped in the back of the truck throwing as fast as we could. Trying to stay warm and get that awful task done so we could go to bed. 3:00 A.M finally we were home trying to recover from the cold and wind burnt cheeks and sore knees we finally hit the hay. What an entertaining start to our holiday.
We had a Great Thanksgiving Day. We stayed at home as a family, Aaron's parents came, his grandparents were suppose to come (that why dinner is served around 1:00) but canceled at 1:00. Our neighbors went out of town and left there son and mother at home so we had them also. We had most of the traditional foods but I found a recipe off you tube for the turkey, we also tried a broccoli souffle recipe from my visiting teacher and 3 or 4 deserts I tried from different sites. :) It all was so good and fun to try.
Today is black Friday and for the first time since I've been married I didn't go out until 8:30 or so and got nothing. Can you believe it??? I couldn't. But I'm sure that's for the best.

Eagles

Today the boys and I went around the lake to Higgins Point to watch the Eagles. I thought we might be a little early to do it this year, but we saw HUGE eagles soaring above us. We saw a couple perched in trees as we went up to the day use area it was so neat. As we got to the top we looked up as one landed in a tree right above us. Casen really got to see them. Ya now being 3 and telling him there in the tree all you hear is I can only see the tree....but there was no mistaking them. What an amazing and majestic sight, we live in such a beautiful area. We are truly blessed and have so much to be thankful for!!

Thursday I felt like we (Vicky and I) could accomplished anything. Vicky is my neighbor and a very close dear friend. After my terrible night I got a call from Vicky, her van had broke down, I loaded up the boys and off we went. She talked to her husband he said "it must the alternator, try to get it home. After we got Cody to school we jumped her van and got her home. That sounds easy but to two ladies who have never had to do it, it was a big deal. We were the blind leading the blind. It was kind of fun. We were so careful mainly because we were so afraid. We took care of business and got her van home safely.
I told Vicky about my critter problem and how I am a huge chicken to go up into the attic and check it out. I asked Robert my little brother to come and help but Vicky said" Lets do it, strength in numbers. I'll go up!" WOW Vicky is scared to death of spiders, hates thunder and lightening, she is a girly girl. She went up into the attic with spiders, dust, bees nests and just yuck..... She crawled up there and took care of business for me. There is strength in numbers. We try to be tuff but we are big chickens. So it was a big day with lots of adventures and new experiences.
Today I put up our Christmas lights. I love Christmas lights they are so delightful. I know it is soon but I hate to put them up in the rain, snow or freezing temperatures. We got our yards all cleaned and ready for winter and Christmas!!!

-Freaky Night-

Last night was one of those scary nights. The wind was blowing pretty hard, it seemed especially dark with the dark cloud cover. I had ran all evening, we did a paper route, ran Clayton to basketball practice then to Sarah's to watch the boys so I could go to a cho. dipping class at the church. Ran back grabbed the boys and whisked them off to bed. All was good! I laid on the couch listening to the wind blow and the leafs hit the windows until I fell asleep. Until 2:00 AM when my cell phone started ringing. Some lady asked if my boys were o.k.. "Did I loose one, I better watch them or I may loose one." It being 2 AM I said "No, there fine." She says "What number did I dial??" I hung up and laid there for what seemed like forever until I finally fell asleep.
A year or so ago some critter was getting into our attic and scratching and digging at our ceiling. Well it's been a year or so and it's back. That's what I woke up to. I put a call into my little brother to climb up there and see what's going on. Then I went to Lowe's and got a noise maker to make it leave. Wish me luck with my little critter......and my scary caller cause I need some sleep tonight!!

Clayton...Your AMAZING!!!

I changed the look of my blog a few weeks ago. When I did this I lost my play list, I was so frustrated. I forgot how I got it there and it took me forever to find out how to get it back. So finally yeah me I got it up again!! I hope you enjoy it.
I had a terrible head ache, my neck hurt and when I moved, my head felt like it was going to fall off. The boys came home, Clayton asked what was up?? I told him I didn't feel good. He said mom lay down and I will take care of my brothers. Well you can imagine how well that went.....Actually better then I thought. Clayton made grilled cheese for dinner. He tryed to clean up and did his home work on the bus. He then asked me if he could do family home evening to night. He did a great job with dinner, cleaning, helping with his little brothers and FHE. He left my aching head spinning I was so proud of my little man.
Clayton turned 8 a week ago. The bishop put a bird in the Stake Presidents ear about our situation and we were able to get it approved for him to get baptized Thanksgiving weekend. I am so proud of my little man.
It has been dark and rainy for a week straight now. I can't complain we had a beautiful fall, the trees were so radiant and bright full of colors red, yellow, and orange. It has been one of the most spectacular falls I can remember. The weather until now has been amazing, sunny and happy feeling.
A week ago today when or weather took it's dive is also the day that Aaron went back. We had a great time with him. Just before he got home I got the kids a trampoline!! We spent some quality family fun time on it jumping, laughing and enjoying each other's company. We hung out at home just enjoying one another. It was nice to attend church as a family so the ward stop asking me if I'm single and how single life is.
I know that our situation is not idea, but we are doing the best we can in our situation.
We look forward to the Holidays so we can spend more time together!! Can you believe that Thanksgiving is only 2 1/2 weeks away.(ya!!)
The boys never cease to amaze me. They are my pride and joy!! I love being a mom, only because I have 3 amazing boys, and an amazing husband. Life has thrown us a curve ball right now but we are holding on tightly and trying to enjoy the ride!!

Saturday was a busy day around the Lippy house. First off Dad comes home today!!! We made him his favorite carameled apples, we then cleaned and cleaned, did some wash and then the unthinkable I raked and mowed the lawn, keep in mind that it's Nov. 1.

Clayton wanted to play basketball but we got back too late to sign him up. We got a call that a team was short a player so he was able to play. We wanting him to do his best, but were a little nervous, no practice with his team so no practice at all. Keeping in mind last year he played on the 2nd grade team as a 1st grader, he made 1 basket all season. This year he is playing with 2nd graders as a 2nd grader and made 3 baskets, it was so much fun to watch. He was very active back and forth, quick on the rebounds and very aggressive. I couldn't of been more proud of him. Great Job!!

The boys and I picked up dad and they all fell asleep almost before I hit the freeway. Aaron was like a kid in a candy store told not to touch anything. So excited and happy to be home, but with his 3 little best friends asleep, it took the wind out of his sail. We made it to the off ramp for the freeway that's when Cody then Casen and then Clayton finally decided to wake up. Needless to say it was a late night.

It is so nice to have dad home we have sure missed him.

Halloween 2008

Wow, what a day! We started off destroying the house trying to get ready for school and Halloween. Clayton was a just cute, a strange little man. Cody was a ninja (the Silent Ninja) to him that meant quick and quiet. If you want peace in your home don't let your little ones be a ninja, it's all out the window your just encouraging a fight. Casen was a monkey he loved every minute of it. Oh to be young, to know that your so cute and irresistible.
We went to a ward family and had dinner and activities, then trick or treated our little circle. Clayton kept saying "I love our neighborhood" and "We live in the best neighborhood". We only went down one side of our circle maybe 6 or 8 houses, and there bags were full. Which makes it great for me. YAAAH were done!
We ventured off to a Halloween Barn Party!! It was a BLAST!! The kids loved it. That's were I had a little scare, not just from the mirror(I was Ugly Betty or Holly) but I walked off to visit with some members and left the boys playing games with g-ma. She got caught up in what Clayton and Cody were doing and Casen walked off. I came back and mom says "don't you have Casen with you??" "NO" He had wondered off trying to find me. He was found and said "I can't find my mom" Who is you mom??" "Momma Holly" he says. Well no one knew momma Holly especially as Ugly Betty. After this scare we were all reunited and had some more fun then called it a night. Home and in bed by 9:30 -2 who fell asleep on the way home.
For the most part we had a great Halloween! We hope you did as well!!
Now off to Thanksgiving!!
