Birds Nest WHERE???

With the weather being so nice Sunday, we had to BBQ! I love to BBQ. Aaron has been very sick the last week, he missed the last 2 days of work, he didn't go to church and he even went willingly to the doctor. If that tell ya how bad he felt. He promised to BBQ the hamburgers but seeing as though he has been feeling so rough I decided to leave him alone and do it myself.
No Problem! I took off the big black cover that Velcro shut at the bottom, turned on the main gas line, opened the lid to watch the burner start when to my surprise there was a BIRDS NEST in the drip tray. How did a bird build a nest there? It's so dark, I would think not to easy to get in and out of and we just used it a week ago. It was made out of grass clippings twigs and some string. The neighbors are the only people in the area that don't use a catcher for there grass and they mowed the night before.
My quick BBQ dinner turned into quite an advent-Clayton bagged the nest up to bring to scouts they have been learning and talking about birds.
We scrapped everything out in the grill, gave it a good scrubbing and decided if anything was left behind it would burn off. Let it burn extra long then throw the hamburgers on.
LET'S EAT!! =)

Ice Caves!

Last weekend we went to the Shoshone Ice Caves! It was fun. It's a little mama & papa tourist trap. The boys really liked it! To be under the ground in a lava tube was awesome. It is a whopping 28* in the cave. It was maybe 65* outside Saturday. They say it stays 28-32* in the lave caves, even if it's 100* outside. They had pumps going to the cave to pump out new water, if they didn't the cave would fill with water and freeze. That's why there are layers of frozen pennies in the water. Lava Caves are amazing. The walls look shimmery with frost on them. The scary hanging bridge was iced over and slick. The Lava tubes can be seen all over that area, now that we know what they are.
We went to a little mama & papa restaurant on the way back home. It puts DQ to shame. We ordered small cones for the boys they were taller then there faces. We ordered medium cones for ourselves they had a foot of ice cream piled on that little cone.
They were HUGE!

Teacher Appreciation!!

This last week has been teacher appreciation week, good it lasts a week or I would be late, it took me a week to get to it. Normally my older sister and I make big fat caramel apples for the teachers and 1 extra for Aaron my favorite teacher. This year I kept the tradition alive just doing it by myself. Well a little help from Casen of course. The extra caramel went to the other random teachers. (Just get it out of here) We don't want to test the theory one minute on the lips forever on the hips. JoAnn I love & miss you!

We're Finally Back!!

We are finally back! We had an old Verizon modem that didn't want to work with the Qwest services anymore. We ordered a Qwest modem that took a week to arrive. But were finally back!!
These are all pictures of the Falls. They are beautiful! The boys loved the rainbow, the birds and the canyon being up sooooo high. Clayton didn't even want to walk out to the observation area. Cody and Casen were afraid to go down the stairs to the area.
Aaron & I were talking about home, you can see this kind of beauty every day. I think it's just what you get use to, but being away you really

miss the simple beauty that can only be found in that area. Now we find beauty in farmers working in there fields. Big tractors and little boys are always a match.
So the latest on our home. We are meeting with the builder tomorrow night to discuss the final things-Then off to get permits!! The following week we should start pouring a foundation.
Can you believe there are only 3 or so more weeks of school~CRAZY how the time has flown.
