The boys loved the ride Robert tried to relax! The boys rocked out! Ben and Casen sharing my mp3 player.
Clayton and Tyler W. at there pinewood druby. Clayton did very well he took 1st place for his den, 2nd in the troop. He did GREAT!! Tyler 1st in his den and 3rd in the troop. Great Job Boys!!
Aaron had knee surgery YUCK-This is his knee 1 week later. Looks 100% better then it did a week ago. 14 staples all together in his knee.
We have been working very hard trying to get our Front yard in and finally LOOK!!! Its DONE. We are very happy with the way it turned out. The boys were so cute Cody and Casen teamed up to carry rolls of sod along the edge of the yard to us. Robert, Denna, Clayton and I worked like troopers to get it in and done Aaron struggled to just supervise. Finally it feels and looks like Home!

Knee Surgery

Aaron had surgery today!! Finally after 3 months of guess work on our part we got it taken care of. It was crazy....about 45 minutes into surgery the power went out. That's what everyone wants to happen during surgery. No problem they have back up generators that kicked in 30 seconds later.
He was weird----he came out of surgery giggling like a little girl and laughing like a hienia.
The second he stopped laughing the pain hit like a rock, then the nausea kicked in he is on a bad roller coaster ride.
Anyway things went well now he is off to recovery!!

Finally Back!

It has been a crazy few months.
Life is good but busy!!
We had a surprise visit from JoAnn and her 2 youngest kids and Sarah with her 3 little ones. They had talked about coming for a visit but decided not to come. Aaron and I had just set down with a bowl of popcorn and a glass of water to relax and watch some t.v before turning in for the night and the door bell rang. Who could that be at 10:00 at night we don't know that many people....but to our surprise it was my sisters!!! We all hung out for a few days and enjoyed being together. We went shopping of course, saw the sites and just hung out. The weather was beautiful except the wind that never seems to stop blowing.
That same week my parents Robert and Jacob also came. (we expected them) That was a visit for the record books. They traveled 10 hour each way and stayed under 24 hours including sleep. ......CRAZY..... We also had David and his family here. We had a happy house full, all together there were 23 on couches, air mattresses and crammed where ever they would fit. It was so nice to see everyone and be together!!
Robert my little brother needed a break from the mundane routine of life so he stayed with us and has been with us the last month. It has been nice! Robert loves to be with the boys and they can't get enough of him. He goes home this weekend, then will drive back to stay a while longer with us. The boys are really going to miss pestering and teasing him.
Aaron hurt his knee back in January playing basketball with some high school kids. We have been nursing it back to health we thought......after buying 2 knee braces. One he had from an old High School injury to keep his leg still. We bought another to side step a MRI with slight movement. We were given 2 others from friends who have had been through this hole process, just to end up seeing a specialist, getting that MRI and having surgery this Friday. His knee has been swollen since January and unusable since as well. He really messed it up. They did the MRI, the doctor reviewed it and it was such a mess that he went back to the radiologist to have him help explain what was going on. Then in visiting with the doctor and his partner for another opinion they are going to do a knee scope and still cut it open to do some exploratory surgery. YUCK!
The boys and I stay busy keeping our home running. We are putting our yard in WHAT A MESS! The sprinklers, plants and curbing is in and done now we are going to start laying the sod. (After Robert gets back so he can help me) We have our yard fenced and the 3rd concrete pad will be poured in 2 weeks then it's time to seed the back.
The boys, Robert and I went to Utah to see David, Albert and Andrea and there families. It was a very nice visit. We road a train for our 1st time. We wanted to go to temple square but the weather was so awful that we vowed that next time we would. We went to the science center the boys loved it there. We also went to a discovery zone, was part of a St. Patty's Day parade and play in the rain/snow. We were all COLD, tired and soaked to the bone we decided to call it a day.
I hope I didn't loose ya-that's a lot to take in.
Happy Easter & Happy Spring!!
