The Finale

The Finale of our Spring Break! We flew kites High and Proud!! Clayton has a hammer head shark but we couldn't get it off the ground. Cody has a nasty looking dragon creature. Dad and Casen share the Pirate Ship. I of course am the fix~it person I would be described as the water boy of kite flying! If a kite goes down its my job to wipe up tears, fix it if needed and get that thing back up as soon as possible. The goal is little to no down time to truly succeed. Kite flying is serious business.

We went to a place called Hop 2 it!! We had a lot of fun there. The kids have to pay but the parents get in free! (That's Nice for a change) Anyway the parents get in for free cause they don't really think that they will do much. They don't know Aaron and I, we got in with the boys and had a blast!! I don't have pictures, they are on the cell phone. We had battles in the center ring (A big boxers air ring) Clayton even took me out a time or too. Aaron raced both the boys through an obstacle course one. It's hard to say who won when they both came out one right ofter the other showing victory on there faces. I beat Clayton and Cody but Aaron was another story, he is so quick I tie with him until it's time to climb
the air ladders and I can not do them with any speed. That's where they all loose me. You may ask where Casen was during all these races and knock outs??? Right in the middle trying to hold his own. World look out cause when that little boy sets his mind to get somewhere you better hope your not in his way. He starts with that amazing smile and charm then takes you out if you in his way. We had an enjoyable afternoon!
Saturday, we had to get some stuff done around here but then headed off to hike the Canyon's Rim. Smell the sweet aromas of the cow manure, it is field prep time. Man does it stink here. It was hard to bare the smell but we did it. Then we played at the park which turned into a good game of baseball. We've got quite the little ball players, only if they wanted to play competitively. Soccer and basketball is more there thing. Cody has even showing some interest is tennis. Only time will tell they are all still very young.
I hate to see it end but its official. It's rained most of the day today we all even layed down after church to take naps. We are trying to unwind from Spring Break~It's time to prepare for the work week and turn the page on Spring Break 2009!

Spring Break!!

The boys and Aaron have been on there Spring Break the last week, we have got a lot done and had some fun doing it.
We wanted to put the boys into swimming lessons during Spring Break but my oldest boys were surprisingly afraid to do it. The youngest of course would of had no problem. We settled with a 1 month membership to the YMCA a family pool pass. The plan was to go during the break but one of the boys has been under the weather since Monday. He has been running a fever, had a bad cough and spurts of energy, so the pool thing and a lot of other fun things have been put on hold.
We started Spring Break off seeing a mule deer across the field from where we are staying. That deer was in trouble the boys ran and grabbed dads bow right off "get him dad!!" We put the bow away and tracked it as a family instead. We got maybe 15-20 yards from her when she popped up and bobbed and weaved out of there. It was beautiful!
We did go shopping at The Big Mall. The boys each saved there birthday money and we gave them some from tax returns. It was seriously burning a hole in there pockets. In there defense they have been very patient waiting till now to get to spend it. We came home will Heelys, hats, play dough, footballs, toy guns etc. it was fun!
We have spent a lot of time doing the one thing the boys hate most.~HOUSE HUNTING~ They have to behave and not be wild, that's not easy for little boys in big open spaces. We think we have narrowed it down...............Build. We can't find anything we really like, most have no yard worth considering a yard, or your house almost sets on the neighbors, and my big one the kitchen sets in the living room, it has not been a fun process. We met with a builder the other night. He is crunching some numbers to see what he can do, which seemed promising when he left. We are wanting to be in a very nice new area at the edge of town. It has nice walking paths, seems like a good community atmospheres, a little park (my back yard had more play structures then it has) and beautiful homes with a potential yard!!
I made the mistake of picking Clayton up on bikes after school the Friday before Spring Break we all rode through something and need to repair at least 1 tire of all the bikes. We have enjoyed weather in the 60's and today is suppose to be 70. I think Spring may of Sprung and during Spring break. The boys have golfed on the dirt mounds and in the open fields, we have flown kites, graded papers and just enjoyed being together as a family. Spring Break came just in time for our family, it is just what we needed to catch up.

We Made It.....

Well last Saturday we left North Idaho and moved to Southern Idaho. That trip, will never be forgotten.
Saturday Feb. 28, 09, not a big deal to most but it was the day that we started our journey. It was also more importantly my babies 4th birthday. He had been so excited to turn 4, he wanted a Nemo cake and the candles, of course the candles. Instead we started our trip to Southern Idaho, he didn't really realize that his birthday had been skipped he was just excited to tell us all he was 4 today. No cake, no gifts and no fun celebration........what we did get were sore bottoms from a 15 hour ride. It should of taken 10 but half was we blew a rod in our truck ( we just put a new engine in it 6 months ago) 3 hours later the tow truck finally showed up. We sat on the shoulder of the freeway waiting, it's too cold to get out, your on the shoulder of the freeway and your on the freeway, so stuck in the van we were. Hungary, cold and tired we finally got the truck and trailer towed. We grabbed a bite to eat and were off. About 1 a.m we rolled in.
Since then it has been hurry and settle on a place to rent, hurry and unpack, hurry where is this or that. We did find a nice place it's a 3 bedroom 2 bath new duplex at the end of a road with open fields and dirt piles perfect for 3 active little boys.
The school seems nice. The boys like there teachers. This school is considered the rough kids school, I pray so much daily for my boys to be strong, choose the right and listen to the guidance of the Holy Ghost. The boys have been tested daily, I hope we have prepared them enough so far in there lives to handle peer pressure and rejection so soon in there lives.
My oldest has a hard time making friends, they are ones testing him. He says his only friend is a little boy that doesn't speak English. He says "Mom he is so kind and doesn't try it get me to do whats wrong".
My kids are my strength I love them dearly. They are so strong, this being there 3rd school this year, 3rd time moving this year and we have bounced from ward to ward. It's all been and is an adventure to them. They are so special... Boys I love you!!
